What We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve our service: your name, email address, company name, and the meeting recordings and transcripts you choose to create using Hansard. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
How We Use Your Data
- To transcribe, index, and store your meeting recordings.
- To provide search and playback features within your account.
- To send you service-related notifications and product updates (which you can opt out of).
- To diagnose and fix technical issues.
Data Retention
Your recordings and transcripts are retained for as long as your account is active, or until you delete them. If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, unless we are legally required to retain it longer.
Security
All recordings and transcripts are encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard TLS for data in transit and AES-256 for data at rest. We are SOC 2 Type II certified and undergo regular third-party security audits.
Third Parties
We use a small number of trusted service providers (e.g., cloud infrastructure, transcription engines) under strict data-processing agreements. They may only process your data to provide the specific services we have contracted them for, and never for their own purposes.
Your Rights
You can access, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings. If you have questions or requests, contact us at privacy@tryhansard.com.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the product at least 30 days before they take effect.
